Name, image, and likeness deals and coaching salaries aren’t the only investment the University of Miami community is putting into its football program.

The school is reportedly planning to build a 162,000-square-foot football facility and accompanying 200,000-square-foot parking garage that will cost at least $100 million.

  • Amenities will include not just coaching offices, but also a new locker room, alumni lounge, meeting rooms, and wellness facilities.
  • It will also provide media resources, including a podcast recording studio and a photo studio.
  • The parking garage alone will be seven stories tall with an 18,000-square-foot dining facility.

The plans must be approved by the city of Coral Gables, which will review the proposal on Friday. There were no reported details about how the project would be funded.
