SEC Postponements

Alabama-LSU
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

COVID-19 is hitting SEC football hard, with four games postponed this weekend — including a marquee matchup between powerhouses LSU and Alabama. LSU has already used its open week at the end of the season to reschedule a game against Florida, leaving a possibility this will be the program’s first season without a game against the Crimson Tide since 1963.

In a press conference Wednesday, conference commissioner Greg Sankey said he was “shaken, but not deterred” regarding the SEC’s ability to finish the regular season and hold a championship game.

Games in the Big Ten and Pac-12 have also been postponed this weekend.

Postponed SEC Games This Weekend:

  • Alabama-LSU
  • Georgia-Missouri
  • Texas A&M-Tennessee
  • Auburn-Mississippi State
