FOS Expands to TV More Details

Michigan’s Blueprint for March Madness

Michigan head coach Dusty May just completed one of the more dominant March Madness runs in recent memory, and the whole thing is documented in Made for March, a four-part docuseries streaming now on Paramount Plus. But beyond the trophy, there are real questions about how he built this team, what it actually cost, and whether this is now simply the model for winning in college basketball.

Sources put the value of Michigan’s championship roster at around ten million dollars. Dusty May addresses that number directly, what the roster will cost next year, and whether the return on investment actually makes sense for universities willing to spend at that level. He also weighs in on the NCAA’s reported move to expand the tournament to 76 teams and what that means for the sport.

Rick Pitino and John Calipari have both gone on record saying they are not fans of where college basketball is headed. Dusty May has a different take. He also responds to whether transfer rules should be limited, reacts to Michael Malone taking over at North Carolina, and explains what adapt or die actually looks like in practice as a head coach right now.
