The sports business landscape is constantly changing. To keep up, industry leaders need to understand the changes and innovations happening right in front of their eyes. How do sports business professionals go about doing that? The Sports Innovation Conference.

On November 24, 2016, the Sports Innovation Conference, a Jakajima event, will premier their second edition of the conference at the Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Alcobendas Campus in Madrid, Spain. The conference will showcase technological innovation in sport and sport innovation in business.

International speakers will share their experiences with the newest wearables, materials, big data, sports food and supplements, and other technologies, while giving thoughts on data and media use in sports, funding and crowdfunding, sports tourism and accommodation, and sports marketing.

The conference is open to anyone in sports, but is mainly addressed to owners, operators and investors in sports infrastructure; marketing, business development, and brand managers; sports federations and clubs; city councils, municipalities, and regional agencies; trainers and coaches; manufacturers of sports products and services; and research and development organizations and institutions.

The first edition of the conference, held on March 8, 2016 at Thomas More in Turnhout, Belgium, attracted over 85 international speakers and attendees from companies such as Microsoft, SAP, and the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI). Presentations covered topics such as health in sports, sports sponsorships, new technology in sports, and many more.

For more information on the conference, you can visit the website and follow the conference on Twitter.
