Tokyo 2020 is still over a year away, but that hasn’t stopped the Games from already breaking records.

According to the International Olympic Committee, the 2020 Games have generated record domestic sponsorship revenues of more than $3 billion.

By the numbers…

In order to rake in a record amount of sponsorship dollars, you have to have a great group of partners. Here’s a breakdown of how the partners for the 2020 Games shake out so far.

Revenue: $3+ billion

Partners: 62

Partners in each category:

Gold: 15

Partners: 32

Supporters: 15

Just how big of a deal is this?

The $3 billion in domestic sponsorship revenue is three times more than any previous summer Games.

The excitement is real…

According to the IOC’s Coordination Commission chief for Tokyo John Coates, 7.5 million Japanese citizens registered to apply for tickets through a lottery system, many of whom ended up without any.
