Coming off their national championship title, LSU women’s basketball isn’t just a powerhouse on the court but also a powerhouse in the name, image, and likeness landscape.
Now, they’ll reportedly add another weapon in both categories: Louisville’s Hailey Van Lith.
The team now boasts three players in the top five of all women’s basketball players for estimated annual NIL earning potential, according to On3’s valuations.
LSU star Angel Reese has the top earning potential at $1.4 million. That number has skyrocketed since she won the national title, earning nationwide acclaim and capitalizing on her brand as the “Bayou Barbie” with more sponsorships and merchandise sales.
Her teammate, Flau’jae Johnson, ranks second with $824,000 in earning potential. Johnson has built a career as a budding rap star and has inked a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
Van Lith, already considered a top earner at Louisville, ranks fifth with $518,000.
UConn’s Paige Bueckers and Iowa’s Caitlin Clark rank third and fourth, respectively.
On the court, Van Lith averaged 19.7 points per game last season and touted a shooting percentage of more than 40%. She’s projected as a top-ten pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
