Louis Vuitton Goes Travel-Inspired for 3rd NBA Collection

  • The travel-inspired NBA collection goes on sale before Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals.
  • The big rollout includes a brand new official travel trunk for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Louis Vuitton has unveiled its third collection of NBA items — this time inspired by travel.

The new collection dedicated to luggage features a new Christopher backpack, Keepall 55 bag, Dopp Kit, and Pocket Organizer. A watch case and Malle Courrier will be dressed in NBA colors for the first time.

But the big rollout is the new official travel trunk for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, which also just underwent its own refurbishing by Tiffany and Co. to commemorate the 75th NBA season.

The new hand-crafted trunk was created at Louis Vuitton’s famous Asnières atelier outside of Paris, designed on an exterior covered with a monogram canvas, and a soft microfiber interior with the NBA’s 75th Anniversary logo.

The trunk’s constructed so the folding doors create a painted “V” — in the NBA’s red, white, and blue colors.

The Louis Vuitton x NBA accessory collection will be open for sale starting on Thursday, June 2, the same day Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Warriors begins.
