Kanye West’s Donda Sports Signs Aaron Donald, Jaylen Brown

  • The pair are the first two athletes to sign with the sports marketing agency.
  • The deals will not affect either player’s representation on the field or court.
Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

As he tends to do everywhere else, Kanye West is making a splash in the sports world.

In the span of 48 hours, West’s marketing agency Donda Sports signed three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald and 2021 NBA All-Star Jaylen Brown, per TMZ.

It’s unclear which of the two athletes signed first, as TMZ reports that Brown may have officially joined in March, when West attended the Warriors-Celtics game in San Francisco.

The deals will not affect either player’s representation on the field or court, just their marketing projects.

Donald spoke about signing with Donda on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, calling the decision a “no-brainer.” Erica Donald, his wife, oversees most of his marketing and will handle much of the collaboration with Donda.

Donald’s Rams took home the franchise’s second Super Bowl in February — while Brown’s Celtics will compete against Golden State for their 18th championship when the NBA Finals begin on Thursday.
