Fundamentals: Former NFL executive Andrew Brandt

Welcome to the latest episode of Fundamentals with Ian Thomas, a Front Office Sports digital show featuring leading operators and voices of the sports industry.

On this episode, longtime NFL executive and insider Andrew Brandt joined to discuss the upcoming (all-virtual) NFL Draft, the new NFL collective bargaining agreement, his experience representing Michael Jordan during the launch of Jordan Brand, and more.

More about Andrew Brandt…

Brandt writes a regular column for TheMMQB.com, providing his unique insight as a former agent and team executive, breaking down often-complex topics and making them understandable and digestible for mass audiences.

Brandt’s decades in professional football are split evenly between working in team management and player representation.  He spent nine years (1999-2008) as vice president of the Green Bay Packers, where he handled legal and business affairs for the team’s football operations, negotiated all player contracts, managed the team’s NFL salary cap.

Brandt is also Executive Director of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law at Villanova University Law School.
