Cowboys, Bucs Are Most In-Demand NFL Teams on StubHub

  • Dallas and Tampa Bay’s Week 1 matchup is the site’s most in-demand.
  • The Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills also drove impressive ticket sales numbers.
Jeremy Reper-USA TODAY Sports

As the NFL season approaches, ticket sales are beginning to crystalize — and many of the usual suspects are driving purchases on the secondary market.

The season’s first Sunday night game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys is the highest-selling game of the season on StubHub thus far, attracting almost double the demand of the next-closest matchup, per a press release from the ticket reseller.

It helps that those two teams — who also played each other in Week 1 last season — are two of the biggest draws in the league.

The Bucs are the top traveling team, attracting the highest jump (44%) in average ticket prices sold for away games vs. the average price of their opponents’ home games.

Tampa Bay will also play in the most in-demand international game when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL’s first-ever game in Germany on Nov. 13.

The Buccaneers are the No. 2 most in-demand team, moving up one spot from 2021. The most demanded team is the Cowboys.

Other notable teams made a splash in the rankings as well.

The Green Bay Packers will play in four of the top 10 hottest-selling games of the season — more than any other NFL team.

And the Buffalo Bills crack StubHub’s top 10 teams for the first time, coming in at No. 6. Sales for their games on the site have increased 523% since last season — the highest increase in the league.
