UCF’s Bounce House In Line for $125M In Improvements

  • The formation of McNamara Cove will feature a $5.8 million “recovery river.”
  • Headlining the changes is a $60 million tower that will house offices and a club lodge.
University of Central Florida

The Bounce House is about to undergo some significant improvements.

A $125 million proposal to transform the 45,040-seat stadium on the campus of the University of Central Florida includes up to $4.8 million to “start design” for the project, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

Improvements to the stadium and surrounding facilities include the formation of McNamara Cove that will feature a $5.8 million “recovery river,” as well as cold and hot pools for football players.

Other additions: The relocation of the east practice field ($4.7M), a new million tower for offices and a club lodge ($60M), and a north seating deck and enhanced concourse that would add 5,000 bench seats for students ($30M).

Stadium seating capacity would increase to 46,490.

The stadium that opened Sept. 15, 2007 and cost $55 million at the time is home to the UCF Knights, who went 9-4 in 2021 before defeating Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl.
