Unique Promotion Gives Golden Knights Fans Incentive to Not Sell Playoff Tickets

The Vegas Golden Knights have taken the NHL by storm this year. Whether it’s their whimsical and witty Twitter feed or their record on the ice, the league and its fans have been watching the team overachieve most expectations.

Now, with a playoff birth locked down, the Golden Knights are looking to reward fans who want to attend the games and not sell their seats.

The aptly named “Knights Vow” program will provide the most significant price savings off the single-game ticket price for full season ticket members.

Members will be automatically enrolled in Knights Vow and will receive tickets electronically via FlashSeats shortly after dates/times of the first-round home playoff games are set, but will not be able to put the tickets on StubHub, the Golden Knights exclusive, authorized secondary partner.

Instead of restricting sales to a certain area or not selling to fans from the opponent’s zip code, the Golden Knights are dangling cost savings in front of their current fans to incentivize keeping the best home-ice advantage possible.

If not interested in Knights Vow, members may opt out of the program but will not see the same price savings as those who stay opted in.

The team also announced a unique “Cheer Now, Pay Later” arrangement whereby members will attend the games first and make their payment at the conclusion of the first round for the games played.

“Our playoff ticket options reward the loyalty of the most passionate, committed and ardent Vegas Golden Knights season ticket members with preferred pricing and a flexible payment option that gives fans the opportunity to pay once the round is complete,” said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. “We have had the best in-arena atmosphere in the NHL this season and we will look to take that to another level come playoff time.”

In an era of teams and leagues looking to try and squeeze every penny out of fans, it’s good to see an organization giving its fans multiple options.
