Vice Sports ‘Don’t Call It a Comeback’ Hosted by Noah Eagle to Premiere Jan. 6 on Vice TV

NEW YORK — Vice TV, home of Vice Sports, today announced the new eight-episode docuseries Don’t Call It a Comeback, which dives into the most memorable come-from-behind victories in sports history.

Hosted by Noah Eagle, and coproduced by Front Office Sports Studios and Skydance Sports in association with NFL Films, the series delivers never-before-heard eyewitness accounts of the drama that unfolded from the players, coaches, superfans, and journalists who were there. Don’t Call It a Comeback premieres Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. ET and airs weekly through Feb. 24.

“We’re proud to partner with Front Office Sports Studios and Skydance Sports to give fans the opportunity to relive some of the greatest comebacks in sports history,” said Vice TV president Peter Gaffney. “This series captures the idea that the thrill of a comeback victory is really only understood if you also get to experience the agony of the other team’s incomprehensible defeat and delivers the unique voices and perspectives sports fans come to Vice TV for.”

From NFL playoff games, an MLB American League Championship Series, college football’s Rose Bowl, and the NCAA Final Four, the biggest games create the biggest drama. Rallying back against impossible deficits delivers more than just a victory to one team, it also leaves the other side wondering how they were able to snatch a loss from the jaws of a sure victory. Don’t Call It a Comeback showcases some of the biggest names who have played in these legendary matchups—including Andrew Luck, Amani Toomer, Shane Battier, Trevor Lawrence, Doug Pederson, Sam Darnold, Curtis Martin, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Josh Beckett—as well as superfans such as Fireman Ed and John Lang, aka Bills Elvis.

“Nothing in sports hits like a great comeback,” said Eagle. “When everything says it’s over, but something human says it’s not—those are the moments that stay with us. This series is about that edge, where legends are born, and games become memories that last.”

Don’t Call It a Comeback episodes include:

  • The 2000 “Monday Night Miracle,” Jets over Dolphins game featuring contributors including Jets running back Curtis Martin, WWE legend and Jets fan Mick Foley, ESPN New York and Mad Dog Sports Radio host Jake Asman, and legendary superfan Fireman Ed
