Front Office Sports Hires Veteran NFL Reporter Mark Maske

Maske joins FOS after nearly three decades at The Washington Post.

NEW YORK — Front Office Sports (FOS), the leading multiplatform media and news organization covering the business of sports, today announced the hiring of longtime NFL reporter Mark Maske.

Maske brings nearly three decades of premier NFL coverage experience to the FOS newsroom and will lead the outlet’s coverage of the business of the NFL. He joins FOS after a long tenure at The Washington Post, where he served as the paper’s primary NFL insider for 28 years. A widely recognized authority on the league, Maske is also a frequent analyst on ESPN and the author of the 2007 book, War Without Death: A Year of Extreme Competition in Pro Football’s NFC East.

Prior to his full-time appointment, Maske served as a regular contributor to FOS.

“Mark is one of the most respected NFL newsbreakers, with unmatched institutional knowledge of the league and its power brokers,” said Front Office Sports editor-in-chief Dan Roberts. “Mark’s recent run of contributor stories for us has driven conversation, and bringing him on full-time allows us to deliver definitive coverage of the huge business of the NFL.”

“As the NFL juggernaut continues to grow, there are more business storylines to follow than ever,” said Maske. “My time so far as a contributor to Front Office Sports has made me feel this is the outlet taking all the right steps to thrive as a digital media business in the current ecosystem, and I am thrilled to come aboard full-time.”

Maske begins his full-time role on Aug. 24, and his NFL coverage for FOS can be found here.
