NCAA Division I athletes will be “prohibited from practicing, competing or participating” in athletic events on Election Day to encourage voting.

Georgia Tech assistant men’s basketball coach Eric Reveno has led the “All Vote, No Play” campaign, which influenced the NCAA to prohibit Nov. 3 activities as a formal rule leading up to the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Along with college athletics, several teams and leagues, including the NFL and MLS, will close offices and facilities on Nov. 3.
